Hello everyone,
I’ve done some research into which study materials should be used for the CCIE R&S written exam. Before I fork over $400.00+ on books, I’d like to get some feedback from the community as what books would be best.
Here is the list I’ve come up with (in no particular order):
MPLS Fundamentals
CCIE Routing and Switching Certification Guide (4th Edition)
Deploying IPv6 Networks
OSPF: Anatomy of an Internet Routing Protocol (I’ve always wanted to read this, figured now would be a good time)
Routing TCP/IP, Volume II
Routing TCP/IP, Volume I (2nd Edition)
Interdomain Multicast Routing: Practical Juniper Networks and Cisco Systems Solutions
Internet Routing Architectures (2nd Edition)
Cisco QOS Exam Certification Guide (IP Telephony Self-Study) (2nd Edition)
Books from my CCNP studies (BCMSN, BSCI, ISCW, ONT)
Some of the above books I already own and have read (and will re-read). Does this list look complete? I’m using the CCIE Routing & Switching Written Exam Topics v4.0 (Blueprint) as kind of a todo list of topics to review and to master. Any information relating to study habits, order in which to study each book, labs to use (for written), plus anything else that might help someone on their CCIE journey is welcomed. Thanks in advanced!
