router reload and module reset

Usually in production network a router is rarely reloaded except for IOS Updates on a yearly or longer basis. Or in the event of a extended power loss.

.

If you don’t want to knock off everyone then don’t reload.  And if you have an issue with one module then reset that one only and then leave the others alone.  Allot of gear is warm reset or hot reset capable for these purposes.
