Hello folks,
I’m involved in giving a solution not very straightforward. Does anybody know how to configure a router to act as a bridge, having at one side a serial interface running a WAN protocol (such as PPP or FR) and having at the other side Ethernet protocol? I mean the following topology:
The CPE must be capable to ping the PE Eth interface and vice-versa. To achieve this, the router acting as a bridge must strip the L2 header out from one side to another. Is that possible using a standalone solution?
Regards,
Emerson
