One of the key aspects of “preparing for the switching portion” of the R&S CCIE lab is to get used to to solving switching problems presented in the standard CCIE problem presentation format. We like to call CCIE level questions “minimally described questions”. To gain some exposure to how switching problems can be presented in this way and to also obtain a problem solving approach to these types of problems, I suggest you purchase the Cisco 306 Link-Layer lesson module. It will supply you with several hours of VoD’s on approaching switching issues that are presented in the CCIE minimally described format. You will also receive two technology focused hands-on labs with detailed answer keys and Cisco 360 mentor guide support.
