OSPF topology – is this okay?

Hi Guys,

I’m just starting to get my head around OSPF so please bare with me.

I have a physical topology that can’t be changed for business reasons, I’m curious if this logical topology is the best way to go about implementing OSPF on that network?

Just so you know the customer routers actually connect to a switch and authenticate via pppoe to R6, but those details arent too important right now, as im just focusing on the OSPF design.

I have R5,R6 and R7 in a point to multipoint setup with R5 as the hub/DR.

I have R7,R8 in a point to multipoint setup with R8 as the hub/DR.

R8 to R6 is just a static route which will later be changed to R6 being a CE in an mpls setup, but for now im just pretending R6 is on the internet and i want the other routers to be able to access R6 via 192.168.12.8 (R8)

The reason I went for multipoint setup is because R6 has no physical connectivty to area 0.

any suggestions on the design would be greatly appreciated:
