OSPF Path selection without using cost

Suppose I have an OSPF Router internal to an area that has paths to dual ABR’s.  How can I influence it to prefer one over the other without using ip ospf cost under the appropriate interface?   There is no redistribution in play, so I cannot use a route map on a redistribute statement.

I think that FB was much like Path in the beginning. A controlled selection of friends, as FB monetized it looks like MySpace.
