NTP Configuration

hi,

I have some doubt about NTP.

Currently we have Cisco 3845 Router (R1), which is working as NTP master for our rest of Cisco network devices (approx 500+ devices).

Now we have configured new NTP server on Windows Server.

my customer requirement is
1. Router R1 should take NTP update from NTP-Server
2. Other network devices should take NTP update from Router R1

We have proposed following configuration

On Router R1

Command

NTP peer x.x.x.x (here x.x.x.x – NTP Server IP address)

On other network devices

Command

NTP Server y.y.y.y prefer (here y.y.y.y – Router R1 ip address)
NTP server x.x.x.x     (here x.x.x.x – NTP Server IP address)

will it work? or modification will require? pls suggest
