Multicast Load Sharing

I was going through the section on multicast load sharing in the “Routing TCP/IP Vol II” book and the author states that one way to achieve load sharing across equal cost paths is to build a GRE tunnel and encapsulation the multicast packets into IP packets.  I have also read in that book and in the Cisco documentation that in order to prevent an RPF failure, a static mroute pointing to the tunnel interface is needed.  The book does not discuss additional methods of resolving an RPF issue over a tunnel other than a static mroute.  My question is can this be accomplished with MBGP or some other method?

I am planning to lab that scenario up tonight and thought I would try and get some feedback before then.

Thanks.
