Guidance for selecting unnumbered interfaces

Hi,

Please are there any general guidance for selecting which interface should be used with the ip unnumbered command on another interface that doesn’t have a dedicated ip address assigned??

I know that for one, the interface must have an ip address but was wondering what other considerations there are when there are a number ofinterfaces configured with an ip address.
