Hi,
I’m redesigning our datacentre setup, which is currently Active/Passive, but which is intended to become Active/Active.
The current design looks simplistically as follows:
The intended design looks as follows:
The challenge is whether and how to achieve Active/Active flows from LAN through to ISP. As the DCs are going to be Nexus OTV interconnected we can stretch VLANs between discreet DC layers, so for example at the ISP end we can do BGP multihoming. Simplistically we could link the FW layers and do Active/Active; I’m also looking at a FW sandwich design using load balancers, but this is not without implementation and maintenance complexity. Any suggestions/experience or ideas ?
Cheers – Mike

investigating slowdowns right now, hang tight. rebooted one of the load balancers
Puget Sound User Group … listening to talk about load balancers, network availability and infrastructure stuff
Oh, i put her in the trolley & she staed taking things out and throwing them around the shop. Was like all load balancers failing at once.
